Instructors can create Polling sessions from within a Class Collaborate session on HuskyCT. Polling can be used throughout meetings to provide learners with the opportunity to participate and engage with material. 

> ⚠️ Polling is not supported in the Blackboard App. Any students using the Blackboard app will not be able to participate in polls.

## Creating a Poll: 

1. Navigate to your HuskyCT couse site and being a[ Class Collaborate session.](https://uconn.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TL/pages/26055770997)
2. After starting the session, open the Collaborate Panel
3. Select **Share Content **located at the bottom of the Collaborate Panel.
4. Under ‘Secondary Content’, click **Polling.**
5. Select the **type of Polling. **
  1. **Multiple Choice:** Instructors can provide students with up to five answer choices. The default number of choices is two. Instructors can add additional answer choices by clicking, **Add choice. **
  2. **Yes/No Choices: **Instructors can choose Yes/No choices for polling, as well. Students are provided with only two answer choices: Yes or No.
6. With each polling type, type the question in the ‘**Ask a question’** box. If using Multiple choice, type the answer choices within the answer boxes.
7. Click **Start. **
8. After starting the poll, the polling box will appear at the bottom of the screen. Instructors can **clear, lock,** or **end the poll. **
  1. Clear: Clear all responses.
  2. Lock Poll: Locking a poll will show the overview count of responses and will prevent new responses. Click Unlock Poll to allow new responses.
  3. End Poll: To stop polling, click End Poll.
9. After ending a poll, instructors can download the session’s Poll report. Poll reports contain the question and how each member responded. To view Poll reports, click on the **three dots** next to Class Collaborate, then **View room report. **

10. From the Sessions window, click the **three dots**, then **View reports. **
11. Next, select ‘View report’. This will provide instructors with session details. The poll report can be printed or exported to a CSV file.
