This article outlines the options available to instructors who want to add knowledge checks to a video created in Video Studio.

# **Overview**

- Knowledge checks can help students stay focused on videos created with Video Studio.
- On the timeline, instructors can insert a multiple-choice question at any point.
- Instructors can add feedback for both correct and incorrect answers.
- Students receive immediate feedback on whether their answers are correct and can try multiple times, but the questions are not graded.

# **Adding Knowledge Checks**

1. Navigate to the video created using Video Studio and click on the three dots.
2. Select **Edit**.
3. Click on the **Edit Video** button.
4. In the left column, select **Edit**.
5. Play the video or move the timeline bar to select the point where you want to add a question.
6. Once you reach the point where you want to add a question, click the Knowledge checks option.
7. Click the plus button in the top-right corner.
8. Add question text.
9. Add answer options and check the box next to the correct answer. Two answers are provided by default, and additional answers can be added by clicking **Add answer**.
10. Add feedback for correct answer feedback and incorrect answer feedback.
11. A preview of the question appears on the right-hand side.
12. Once everything looks correct, click **Done**.
13. You will see a purple question mark icon on the timeline indicating where the question is placed.
14. Once all questions have been added, click **Save Video**.
15. Click **Save** on the Video Content page.
