Instructors can create collaborative documents and a variety of assignments through Microsoft Education.  

**Microsoft Collaboration** allows student and instructors to work on the same document at any given time. Each participant can see changes and revisions made to the document in real time. **Microsoft Assignments** provide instructors with a variety of tools and features to utilize within their assignment. When enabling Microsoft Collaboration or Assignments, both items will appear on the Course Content page.

## Adding a Collaborative Document to HuskyCT 

1. Navigate to your HuskyCT course.
2. From your **Course Content page**, click on any gray plus button.
3. Select **Copy Content** from the drop down menu.
4. From the list of institution tools, select **Microsoft Education Collaboration. **
5. A Microsoft Education Collaboration window will appear. Click Select Existing Documentation to upload the collaborative document. By selecting this, a new window will open containing all OneDrive files.
6. From the OneDrive files, locate the collaborative assignment, then click **Select. **
7. Adjust the remaining settings.
  
  1. Select the appropriate document type. Instructors can upload a Word document, Excel Sheet, or a PowerPoint Presentation.
  2. Provide a Document Name.
  3. Optionally, instructors can create a description for the collaborative assignment.
8. Click **Create. **
9. The Microsoft Education collaborative assignment will appear on your course content page. Students can use this as their entry point to the collaborative assignment.

## Adding a Microsoft Education Assignment 

1. From your **Course Content page**, click on any gray plus button.
2. Select **Copy Content** from the drop down menu.
3. From the list of institution tools, select **Microsoft Education Assignment. **
4. A Microsoft Education Assignment window will appear with available [content options](https://uconn.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TL/pages/28340092933/Microsoft+Education+Assignments#Microsoft-Education-Assignment-Content-Options) for instructors to use. The created Microsoft Education Assignment will appear on the course content page.

##  Microsoft Education Assignment Content Options

<details>
<summary>OneDrive </summary>

- **Select OneDrive Files: **Locate and select files from your local OneDrive, then Create Assignment. Instructors will be promoted to provide the assignment with a name and points required for the assignment. Optionally, instructors can include a description and an available from/until date.
- **Word, Excel, PowerPoint Template: **Instructors can provide students with a blank Word, Excel, or PowerPoint Template. Each template requires a name and point requirement. Optionally, instructors can include a description for the assignment and available from/until dates.

<summary>Assignments</summary>

- **Assignment:** Instructors can create an assignment with the Teams Assignment tool. Instructors can attach Cloud files, Class Notebooks, link items, and upload documents from their devices.
  Once the assignment is created, instructors have the ability to view assessment details for each student.
- **From Existing:** Instructors can reuse assignments from previous Microsoft Teams pages.
- **Forms Quiz: **Create a new assignment or quiz using Microsoft Forms. Alternatively, instructors can choose from already existing Forms assignments from their Microsoft Education account.
