Instructors can use anonymous grading in their HuskyCT course. 

Anonymous grading occurs when an instructor of a course wishes to hide student names when grading to minimize grading bias. When anonymous grading is selected, students names are hidden while grading. When grades are posted, student names are revealed. 

> ⚠️ When anonymous grading is added to an assignment, due dates *cannot* be changed as it can compromise the anonymity of the assignment.


## Enabling Anonymous Grading: 

1. From your HuskyCT Course, navigate to the assignment you’d like to add Anonymous Grading to and click **Edit.**
2. From the Assignment Settings, select **Change grade posting setting.**
3. Under **Anonymous Grading**, click **Hide student names**.
4. Click **Save**.
5. From the **Submissions **page, instructors will see a message informing them that Anonymous grading is in progress indicated in blue. Additionally, student names will be replaced with *Anonymous Student *followed by* *a number.
