This article will guide students through accessing their textbooks on Perusall using their access codes.  

## Overview: 

Perusall is a social annotation tool that allows students to engage with course content, classmates, and instructor(s).  

- Access codes should be purchased through the **UConn Bookstore**. Students may opt into the Husky Book Bundle (undergraduates only) or purchase the Perusall access code from the bookstore.
- At checkout, students should choose the **Pick Up** option. Access codes will then be emailed to students from the UConn Bookstore.
- Due to access codes being provided manually to each students, it is important to purchase your Perusall Access Code as soon as possible.


## Entering a Perusall Access Code:

1. Navigate to your HuskyCT Course.
2. From the **Course Content Page**, click on the **Perusall Course Tool **link.
3. Select **Library **
  
4. Click on the Textbook assigned for your course. Select **Purchase.**
5. Next, you will be prompted to **‘Enter an access code**’. Provide the **Access Code** that you received via email from the UConn Bookstore.
6. Email your instructor informing them how you purchased the Perusall Access Code. If you opted out of the Husky Book Bundle, provide a screenshot of the receipt for the purchased Access Code.
