This article is intended for instructors who want to create a VT ‘Watch’ assignment. A ‘Watch’ assignment requires students to view a VoiceThread in its entirety. Once students have watched all of the assigned content, their completion is automatically recorded as ‘complete’.

'Watch' assignments are assigned the **Complete/Incomplete** grading option by default. At this time, this grading type cannot be changed or customized.

# How to Build a ‘Watch’ VT Assignment:

1. Navigate to your HuskyCT Course Content page.
2. Click on the + sign, then click **Content Market**
3. From the list of Institution Tools, select **VoiceThread**.
4. From the setup menu, select** Assignment Builder.**
5. From the **Assignment Builder**, click **Watch**.
6. Instructors can choose to use an existing VoiceThread or create a new one. When using an existing VoiceThread, instructors have the option to include either all slides or only selected slides. If a new VoiceThread is created, instructors are guided through the creation process, including uploading content.
  1. **Using existing VT: **Click the circle next to the existing VT, then click continue. Select the content you’d like to include and select continue.
  2. Creating a new VT: Click **Create a New VoiceThread**. Instructors can choose from several options for creating or uploading media, including adding files from their computer or other supported sources. After creating or uploading the VoiceThread, select the desired slides or content to include, and then click **Continue**.
7. After selecting the desired content, instructors can continue building their assignment by adding comment types and media. To add a comment (text, audio, video, or upload), click on the bubble icon located in the bottom left corner. To add media, click on the + icon located in the bottom right corner.
8. When satisfied, click **Continue.**
9. Next, select the Playback options and user Permissions, then click **Continue**.

10. Finalize the assignment by creating an Assignment name and instructions. Enter a state date, due date, and close date. Then, click **Publish. **

11. Once you see the “Success!”** **message, close the tab. To locate the assignment, instructors should close the tab and return to their HuskyCT browser window.
