# **Overview**

In Ultra, instructors can use Exceptions and Accommodations to allow students different assessment conditions then the general class.

- **Exceptions** are applied to a specific assignment for a specific student.
- An Exception can be used to give students:
  - An alternative due date
  - Additional attempts
  - Alternative access times
- **Accommodations** are rules that automatically apply to all course assessments.
