## Sending Messages Using the Messages Tab

1. Go to the **Messages** are in your Course and then click on **New Message**.

2. Enter the details of Course Member or Group to whom the message needs to be sent. Messages don't have titles, so recipients need to rely on the first part of your message as it will appear in the Messages page as a preview. You can send an email copy of a course message.

## Send Messages from Gradebook

1. Select the three-dot menu at the right end of a student row. Select the **Message Student** option. The Message panel will open at the right side of the screen.

## Send Message from Assignment Submission Page

1. Go to an assignment and then go to Submissions page. There will be an option to **Send Message** to the students.

## Send Reminders from the Anonymous Submission Page

1. To remind students about their outstanding anonymous work, select **Send Reminder** from the anonymous submission page. This will send an automatic message to the students while keeping their personal details anonymous.

2. After selecting Send reminders, you get a confirmation message that shows how many students will receive the reminder.
