This articles is intended to guide students through completing an assessment on HuskyCT. 

Instructors can create assessments and assignments directly on HuskyCT. There are a variety of features included such as multiple choice, essay, hot spot, and true or false questions. Additionally, students can see the assessment settings such as due dates, attempt amounts, and point details. 

Assessments can be also be “locked down” or proctored by instructors. For more information on taking assessments with LockDown Browser, read our [support article](https://kb.uconn.edu/space/TL/26293239830/LockDown+Browser-Student+Support) for students.

1. Navigate to your [HuskyCT](https://lms.uconn.edu/) course and locate the test from the Content tab.
2. Click on the test name to open the exam.
3. A pop-out window will appear that contains information about the test. If your instructor as required [LockDown Browser](https://kb.uconn.edu/space/TL/26293239830/LockDown+Browser-Student+Support), it will be noted here, as well.
4. Once you are ready to begin, click **Start attempt. **
  
5. The test will open in your browser.
  1. Shows test completion progress.
  2. Shows the information about the test, including the due date and number of possible attempts.
  3. Shows the grading information.
  4. Shows the test questions, where students will submit their answers.
  5. Allows you to filter what questions to show (All Questions, Unanswered questions, Per question type) for easier navigation.
  6. Allows you to navigate between questions if only one question is displayed per page.
6. Once you have completed all the questions, click the **Submit** button in the lower right corner to submit the exam.
7. You will be prompted to confirm if you want to Submit the test. Click **Submit** to confirm or **Cancel** to return to the test.
8. Once submitted, you will receive a submission confirmation via email and can optionally download the file.
