This article is a guide for students to use the Flip video discussion platform in their courses.

> ℹ️ Flip is free-to-use and can be accessed on Windows or Mac using any web browser or using the Flip iOS or Android app. The instructions below are applicable cross-platform.

## Joining a Group

1. There are several methods by which instructors can invite students to join their course group:
  1. A link accessed from within HuskyCT
  2. Via direct hyperlink
  3. Using a Flip “Join Code”
  4. Scanning a QR Code
2. Upon using any of these 4 methods, students will be prompted to “Sign in” to Flip to join the group. Students should “Join With Google” and sign in using their UConn student Gmail account.

3. After signing in, click the blue **Join Group** button to join that group.

## Creating and Posting a Video Response to a Topic

Students will be asked to create a video “Response” for instructor-created “Topics.” Flip offers a robust toolkit to record and edit video responses. While the platform and tools are user-friendly, the video below outlines many of the options available as you record your response.
