<span style="color: #172b4d">Many UConn rooms, including classrooms and department-owned conference rooms, have video conferencing functionality. These rooms can conduct distance-learning classes and connect to web conferences.</span>

> ⚠️ Distance-learning classes (classroom-to-classroom) connect automatically and do not use Webex. You will, however, need to put the classroom into Video Conferencing mode using the touch panel to see the remote classroom.

## Teach From/To

"Full" rooms offer a complete distance-learning experience. The professor in this type of room may teach to a class of students physically present or a virtual audience that can be seen and interacted with. These rooms are designed to teach <u>from</u> or <u>to</u>, as there are cameras located in both the front and rear of the room. When the instructor is present in the room, the camera facing them will be selected; when the instructor is remote, the camera facing the students will be selected. It is simple to switch between these cameras during the call as well.

"Full" classrooms are able to connect with other classrooms in the University. This enables professors to teach students in real-time at any campus. Please contact the Academic IT (AIT) department if you would like to learn more about this functionality or need the connection to be set up.

## Teach From

<span style="color: #172b4d">The professor in this type of room may teach to a class of students who are physically present or a remote audience that the professor can see and interact with. These rooms are designed to teach </span><u><span style="color: #172b4d">from</span></u><span style="color: #172b4d"> only, as there is only a single camera located in the rear of the room. </span>

## Seminar/Conference/Teach To

These rooms differ from traditional rooms by housing a layout that is more focused on collaboration. These are often conference rooms, meeting rooms, and department-owned rooms. There is one camera below or above the display that faces the center of the room. The display shows remote participants along with content that is being shared.
