Students, faculty, and staff can add captions to videos in Kaltura. 

> ℹ️ If you used a transcript to create the video, you can use [Kaltura's Alignment Service](https://uconn.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TL/pages/10789160512) to create captions.

> 📝 Depending on video length, the captioning is often completed within an hour. You will receive an email when they are complete. Reach out to [techsupport@uconn.edu](mailto:techsupport@uconn.edu) if you have not received an email within 24 hours.

## Captioning Individual Videos 

> Macro (iframe)


1. Login to Kaltura Mediaspace or HuskyCT.
  1. [Kaltura Mediaspace](http://kaltura.uconn.edu):
    1. Click **Guest. **
    2. Click **My Media** to log in.
  2. [HuskyCT](http://huskyct.uconn.edu)
    1. Login to HuskyCT
    2. Click **Tools**
    3. Click **My Media**
2. Click on the video title to which you wish to add captioning.
3. Below the video on the right-hand side, click **Actions.**
4. Select **Caption and Enrich**.  
:warning: Note: The “Machine captioning” option is 70% to 80% accurate and is the only option free of charge. Be sure to edit the captions after they are created to be ADA compliant, which is close to 99% accurate. 5. Click **Submit** to confirm your selection.
6. Once your captions are complete, see [Edit the Captions in a Kaltura Video](https://uconn.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TL/pages/10789160510) for instructions on how to edit them.

## Captioning Multiple Videos

1. Login to Kaltura Mediaspace or HuskyCT.
  1. [Kaltura Mediaspace](http://kaltura.uconn.edu):
    1. Click **Guest. **
    2. Click **My Media** to log in.
  2. [HuskyCT](http://huskyct.uconn.edu)
    1. Login to HuskyCT
    2. Click **Tools**
    3. Click **My Media**
2. Click on the box to the left of the video(s) to which you wish to add captioning.
3. At the upper right, click **Actions.**
4. Select **Caption and Enrich**.  
:warning: Note: The “Mechanical” option is 70% to 80% accurate and is the only option free of charge. Be sure to edit the captions after they are created so that they are ADA compliant, which is close to 99% accurate.
5. Click on **Submit** to confirm your selection.
