**Each Classroom has an annotation tablet/monitor attached by a mounting arm available for your use. The following is a short tutorial on these tablets and the stylus that it uses.**

The QOMO touch monitor and stylus, functions as a precise writing and drawing tool, enabling users to draw both thick and thin lines with varying pressure. It uses electromagnetic (EM) pen technology, so it does not require batteries and can be used comfortably for long periods, offering a natural writing experience for annotation, highlighting, and interactive learning.  

Key functions:

- **Precise writing and drawing:**
  The EM technology allows for drawing with both faint and heavy lines depending on the pressure applied, mimicking the feel of writing on paper.
- **Battery-free operation:**
  It is a passive stylus, meaning it doesn't require batteries or charging to function.
- **Palm rejection:**
  The system is designed to ignore your hand resting on the screen while using the stylus, preventing interference and allowing for a comfortable, natural writing position.
- **Annotation and navigation:**
  The stylus can be used for writing, drawing, and annotating over the screen, making it easy to highlight important information during presentations or lectures.


**The room PC has the following software available for use with these annotation tablets:**

### **Microsoft OneNote**

You may use the tablet’s stylus as a pen in OneNote on the Hi-Tech Classroom computers. OneNote allows a user to annotate over a white background, import Powerpoint or PDF files, and annotate over them.
