Maestro subscriber lists can be added to manually on a per subscriber basis or in bulk using file import. Hybrid lists also sync with Listserv, so any changes made in one reflect in the other. This allows you to add to hybridized lists using Listserv methods as well.

> ℹ️ For more information about adding subscribers to Listserv lists, see here: [https://kb.uconn.edu/space/IKB/10730111065/Adding+Subscribers+to+a+Listserv](https://kb.uconn.edu/space/IKB/10730111065/Adding+Subscribers+to+a+Listserv)

### Manual Subscriber Addition

This process is best suited to making single additions when needed, and is not suitable to making large changes.

1. Sign in to Maestro and from the left side menu select **Subscriber Lists**
2. Find the list you want to add a subscriber to. Right click on the list and select **Add Subscriber**
3. Follow the prompts to add the subscriber starting with their email address
4. You will then be required to fill out any additional fields the list supports. Required fields are noted with an asterisk (*)
5. Click **OK **to add your new subscriber to the list. You will be brought back to the Subscriber Lists page.

### Bulk Subscriber Addition

Used to add multiple subscribers, this method will likely be used to make large scale changes to your subscribers

1. Sign in to Maestro and from the left side menu select **Subscriber Lists**
2. Find the list you want to add a subscriber to. Right click on the list and select **Import Subscribers**
3. If you would like to do a single import, you may click **Import Subscribers Now**. Otherwise, you may select or create a predefined import function that allows you to specify the exact behavior to be followed each time it is used.
  1. Both follow the same format, but one time imports are not saved as templates for future imports.
4. If you select to create an Importer, you will be prompted for a **Name **and **Description**. Otherwise, both options have the same fields.
  1. Specify whether imported data will be appended, used to replace (with or without deletions), or removed from the list.
  2. **Type Details** are used to specify how Maestro might handle exceptions or shared values. They are used to fine tune the import.
  3. **Source** can be a created file containing all the fields the list supports/requires
    1. Accepted file types are Excel Spreadsheets (.xls / .xlsx), Comma-Separated Values (.csv) or Tab-Delimited Text Files (.txt)
    2. Uploaded list can have a header row or not. You may specify at upload.
  4. **Map Fields** lets you map the columns in your file to the fields in the list. It will automatically match field names if they are present in both the file and the list.
  5. **Mapping Details** lets you specify how to handle missing values and how to determine True/False values as they appear in your provided data.
  6. **Summary** provides your choices in brief before applying.
  7. Click **Finish**
5. If you ran a single import, your import will complete. If you chose to create an Importer, you will be brought back to the Import page where you may choose to run your import at any time.
  1. To run your Reusable Importer, click the lock icon on the importer to unlock the importer if it is diabled, and click the rocket icon to run. you will be prompted to upload your file at this time.

> ℹ️ An Importer can be used any number of times and does not require completing every field above each time. For imports being used to regularly update list, importers are excellent for increased efficiency.
