You may need to add and remove owners and members from distribution lists if people leave the university, move departments, etc. Below are instructions to add and remove owners and members using [Exchange Admin Center](http://admin.exchange.microsoft.com) on the web.

> ℹ️ Only existing owners have the ability to add/remove new owners and add/remove members from a distribution list.

<summary>Add Owners</summary>

## Add Owners via Exchange Admin Center (web)

1. Go to [Exchange Admin Center](https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com), and log in using your UConn email address and password.
2. On the left side of the screen, select “Groups.”
3. On the “Groups” page, select “Groups I own.” All of the groups that you own should be listed here.

4. Select the group that you would like to edit by clicking on the name of the group.

5. Click “Members” on the panel that appears on the right side of the screen.
6. Click “View all and manage owners.”

7. On the “Owners” page, click on “Add owners.”

8. On the “Add Owners” page, you can search the name of a user that you would like to add as an owner. Select them by clicking the circle to the left of their name.

9. Add them using the “Add” button in the bottom left corner of the “Add owners” page. This button will be grayed out until at least one user is selected.


> 📝 Please note that it may take a few minutes after adding a new owner before the change takes effect.

4. Select the group that you would like to edit by clicking on the name of the group.

5. Click “Members” on the panel that appears on the right side of the screen.
6. Click “View all and manage owners.”

7. On the “Owners” page, select an owner you would like to remove, and click “Delete.” Note that the Delete option will not appear unless one or more owners are selected.

8. When asked if you are sure you want to remove this group owner, click yes.

> 📝 Please note that it may take a few minutes after adding a new owner before the change takes effect.

4. Select the group that you would like to edit by clicking on the name of the group.

5. Click “Members” on the panel that appears on the right side of the screen.
6. Click “View all and manage members.”

7. On the “Members” page, click on “Add members.”

8. On the “Add members” page, you can search the name of a user that you would like to add. Select them by clicking the circle to the left of their name.

7. On the “Members” page, select a member you would like to remove, and click “Delete.” Note that the Delete option will not appear unless one or more members are selected.
