After purchasing Nitro PDF Pro from [software.uconn.edu](https://software.uconn.edu/software/nitro-pdf/), install the desktop application for either your [Windows](https://uconn.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IKB/pages/28459892742/Installing+Nitro+PDF+Pro#Windows%3A) computer or [Mac](https://uconn.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IKB/pages/28459892742/Installing+Nitro+PDF+Pro#MacOS%3A). Once installed, you’ll need to [activate the software](https://uconn.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IKB/pages/28459892742/Installing+Nitro+PDF+Pro#Activating-your-software%3A).

### Windows:

1. Open the Company Portal application on your Windows PC.  You can search for “Company Portal” in the task bar. If prompted to log in, enter your UConn email address and password.
2. Select **Apps** on the left.
3. Click on Nitro PDF Pro and then click **Install/Get**.

### MacOS:

1. Open Self Service+ on your Apple Device.  If prompted to log in, enter your UConn email address and password.
2. Click **Catalog** on the left. Click **Install** next to “Nitro PDF Pro Install”

### Activating your software:

Once the software has been installed on your computer you must activate the software. 

1. Open Nitro PDF Pro.
2. If you are not prompted to login, click **Log In** in the top right corner.
3. Enter your UConn email address.  You will be forwarded to UConn Single Sign On.
4. Enter your UConn email address and password.
5. You will be prompted for Duo 2FA.
6. After completing the login steps Nitro PDF is now fully licensed.
