# Smart Tools

The Nitro software includes smart tools to help enhance productivity and streamline PDF management. These tools are designed to simplify tasks such as editing, converting, and organizing PDFs, making it easier for you to work efficiently with your documents.

## Smart Redact

This process ensures that sensitive information is securely redacted from your PDF. To redact information using the Smart Redact tool, follow these steps:

1. Open your PDF document in Nitro.
2. Select the **Redact** tool from the toolbar.
3. Choose **Smart Redact** from the options.
4. Use the tool to select the text or area you wish to redact. You can click and drag to highlight the specific sections.
5. Once selected, apply the redaction to permanently remove or obscure the information.

## Table and Form Extract

1. Navigate to the Nitro Workspace Dashboard and go to the Tools menu by selecting the tools icon.
2. Select Extract Table Data or Extract Form Data.
3. **Upload** your PDF.
4. Once processed, the extracted data is presented in an organized format for easy review.
