In Confluence, the system behind the Knowledge Base, the Watch feature allows users to subscribe to an entire space and receive notifications whenever new entries are created, or existing content in that space is updated.

## How to Watch

### Watching an entire space within the Knowledge Base

To watch all pages, live docs, whiteboards, and blog posts in a particular space:

1. Go to any page, live doc, whiteboard, or blog post **in the space**.
2. Click on the more actions menu (…) at the top right of your screen.
3. Select **Watch settings**.
4. Select “**Watch all content in this space**.”

> 📝 The option of starring a page/item is also available through Confluence. Using the star feature saves the page/item to a particular space for quick access. Whereas watching it means you receive notifications. For more information about the starring feature, visit [https://uconn.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IKB/pages/28398878732](https://uconn.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IKB/pages/28398878732).

## Turning off the Watch Feature

If you’d like to stop using the watch feature and receiving notifications regarding edits made in the Knowledge Base, you can turn them off by no longer watching all pages.

### Turn off Watch for the entire Knowledge Base space

To stop watching all pages, live docs, whiteboards, and blog posts in a particular space:

1. Go to the space in Confluence: [https://uconn.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IKB](https://uconn.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IKB)
2. Click on the more actions menu (…) at the top right of your screen.
3. Select **Watch settings**.
4. Unselect **“Watch all content in this space.”**

> 📝 If you would like to continue receiving notifications for specific articles, stop watching the space but then go to the pages you wish to watch. Go to “Watch settings” again and select “Watch this content” and “Watch child items,” for any sub-pages.
