Some university-owned Macs are showing a persistent popup with the following message:

> Self Service+ wants to use your confidential information stored in “Jamf Connect” in your keychain. To allow this, enter the “login” keychain password.

This is a bug primarily facing users who have upgraded to macOS Tahoe 26.1. **This popup is not malicious**, but may present an annoyance to users of university-owned Macs. Users can take steps to mitigate the distraction caused by this popup.

> ℹ️ ITS is evaluating a fix for this issue. Once it is determined to be successful, the fix will be delivered remotely to all affected managed Macs.

## Instructions

You can hide the popup for a Mac set up for **single-user mode**. If you have a shared-use/lab Mac, there is not currently a fix.

1. [Elevate your account's privileges to administrator.](https://uconn.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IKB/pages/27044249601)
2. Enter your password in the popup, then click **Always Allow**.
3. The popup will disappear until you next logout and log back in, or if you restart your Mac.
