Students, faculty, and staff can create a “voice profile” to help the Teams App isolate their voice from background noise and other voices. In creating a profile, you are training Teams to distinguish your voice from others to enhance the standard Noise Suppression tool.

## Create a Voice Profile

1. Open the Teams App.
2. Click on the ellipsis at the top of the window and then click on **Settings**.
3. Click on **Recognition** and then **Create voice profile**.
4. Choose the microphone that you regularly use for your meetings.
This will ensure your computer hears your voice in the same manner as if you were attending a real meeting.
5. Click on **Start voice capture** and begin reading the prompt on your screen.

> ℹ️ What’s happening?
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ By reading the prompt, you are speaking words that your computer is *expecting *to hear. This allows the computer to learn how you speak. This will help Teams to isolate your voice in meetings when people are also speaking in your vicinity.

6. Click **End voice capture**.
