This article is designed to assist one in setting up Spam Rules in Outlook for Junk/Spam emails.


### Outlook desktop application:

1. In the Outlook application, Select “File” and then “Manage Rules & Alerts.
2. A new window will open up - select “New Rule…”
3. In the bottom box select “Apply rule on messages I receive”
4. Typically - for spam messages, we want them deleted so we select **From people or public group**
5. Under step 2 - click on people or public group
6. In the **From** box in the bottom - type in the address sending you SPAM and select “OK”
7. Then select “Delete it” and then press “Finish” and “Apply”

### Outlook Web Access

1. From Outlook on the web - select the cogwheel in the top right and then** Rules**
2. Then select +Add New Rule
3. Name the rule and in the first condition select “From” and then enter the senders email address
4. Under the Action, select “Delete” and then Save the rule
