This article details the steps on subscribing to external calendars. When you subscribe to a calendar, your calendar will automatically refresh if the other calendar is updated. This can sometimes take more than 24 hours, but is usually much quicker.

In order to subscribe to a calendar, you will require an ICS or iCal link. How you acquire this link depends on the external calendar. If you are unsure of what link to use, or how to find one, please reach out to our help desk with the details of the calendar you’d like to subscribe to by emailing [techsupport@uconn.edu](mailto:techsupport@uconn.edu).

> ℹ️ Subscribing on the desktop version of Outlook will only add the calendar on that specific computer. You will have to subscribe on each computer you access the calendar on. If you want this to carry over to other computers, please subscribe through the web.

## Outlook Desktop

1. Go to your Outlook app.
2. Select the Calendar View.
3. Click the **Add Calendar** button and select **From Internet**.
4. Paste the calendar link you found earlier.
5. Press **OK**.
6. You should now see the Calendar under **Other Calendars**.
