ITS is enabling federated login for all UConn LastPass accounts. Once enabled, users will no longer sign in to LastPass using a master password of their choosing. Instead, they will sign in using their NetID password.

> ⚠️ LastPass federated login does not support logging in to your account via lastpass.com. You will need to install the LastPass browser extension or the LastPass mobile app to use LastPass.

### Converting your account to federated login

Once your account has been enabled for federated login by ITS, you will need to log out and log back in to complete the process.

1. Log out of LastPass. This process will differ depending on which device or LastPass app you are using.
2. Log back in by entering your UConn email address and your **LastPass Master Password**.
3. You will be forwarded to a LastPass form requesting you to enter your Old (Master) Password. Enter it and click **Save Master Password. **Note: You may receive a Duo push during the password change with no prompt on screen. Be sure to have the Duo app available to approve the Duo push notification.

4. Now, log back in to LastPass. There will no longer be a field to enter your Master Password, only your UConn email address.

5. Upon clicking the **Log In** button in LastPass, you will be forwarded to a Microsoft Login screen. Enter your NetID password and approve the Duo prompt to log in. Note: If you are already logged into Microsoft 365 in your browser, the login screen will be skipped, and you’ll be forwarded directly to LastPass.
