Students, faculty, and staff scan documents using Fujitsu PaperStream Capture software. For configuration information, see [PaperStream Capture Scanning Setup](https://uconn.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IKB/pages/10931143358).

## Document Scanning

Make sure documents are prepared and organized into batches with document separator sheets (Patch Code sheets) before you begin scanning.

1. Load batches of paper documents into the scanner upside-down and backward (unless otherwise specified in your scanner documentation).
2. Open the PaperStream Capture software and select the scanning profile that meets your needs (e.g., black and white, color).
3. Click **Scan.**

> ℹ️ Scanned documents are located in the destination folder and named according to the Name Rule configured in the scan profile.
