When updating MacOS, you may need to re-allow access to your webcam, microphone, and screen-sharing. If your **Share** button is grayed out during your Meeting, follow these instructions.

1. Completely close Webex.
2. Click on the **Apple icon** in the top menu on your screen.
3. Click **System Preferences **and** **then choose **Security & Privacy**.
4. Click on the **padlock** to unlock these settings.
5. Choose **Microphone **and check the box next to Webex.
6. Choose **Camera **and check the box next to Webex.
  1. Choose **Screen Recording **and check the box next to Webex.
7. Click on the **padlock** again to lock these settings.
8. Close these windows and re-open Webex.

> ✅ When you "share your screen" in Webex, Webex is technically recording your screen in order to broadcast it into the call.
> ✅
> ✅ If you are set to "optimize for text and images," Webex captures 3 screenshots per second to broadcast. If you are set to "optimize for motion and video," Webex captures 30 screenshots per second and includes audio.
