Faculty and staff can set up Windows 11 for use on their University-issued Windows computers.

## Creating Your User Profile

> ⚠️ Before bringing a computer off-campus, you must sign into Windows with your NetID and password once while on campus so that Windows can configure your account. You either need to be connected to a data jack with an Ethernet cable or signed into the UCONN-SECURE wireless network at the login screen.

## Connecting to Wi-Fi from the Login Screen

From the login screen, you have two options. You can either connect to a wired campus connection via an Ethernet cable, or you can connect to UCONN-SECURE.

1. Select the Wi-Fi icon in the lower-right corner of the login screen. UCONN-SECURE** **will then appear in a list of available wireless networks.
2. Select **UCONN-SECURE** from the list of available networks.
3. Enter your NetID and password when prompted to do so.
4. Once **UCONN-SECURE** is connected, close the WiFi window.
5. Sign in to Windows with your NetID and password.

> ⚠️ If you choose to connect to UCONN-SECURE, you must do so before you attempt to log into Windows.
