Faculty, staff, and students can establish a secure connection to the UConn network via the Pulse Secure client (a VPN software). VPN provides an encrypted connection between your mobile device and the UConn network and allows you to access restricted resources.

## Configuring UConn VPN for iOS

1. Download **Pulse Secure** from the **[App Store](/wiki/download/attachments/10810917032/IMG_2022.PNG?version=1&modificationDate=1596471006000&cacheVersion=1&api=v2)****. **
2. Type in* ****vpn.uconn.edu**** *as the URL for UConn.
3. Type in a name for the network.
4. Save your NetID credentials for login.
5. Connect to the Network.
  1. Click **Allow. **
  2. Confirm with your TouchID or Passcode.
6. On the next screen, click **Connect.**
7. Sign in**. **You will then be connected.
8. To disconnect, select **Disconnect.**

## Configuring UConn VPN for Android

1. Download **Pulse Secure** from the **[Google Play Store](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.pulsesecure.pulsesecure)****.**
2. Type in ***vpn.uconn.edu**** *as the URL for UConn.
3. Type in a name for the network.
4. Save your NetID credentials for login.
5. On the next screen, click **Connect**.
6. Sign in.** **You will then be connected.
7. To disconnect, click the **Disconnect **button.
