Faculty and staff can obtain a Windows license and learn about Windows OS for personal devices. 

> ℹ️ Students can get Windows 10 for personal computers from the [UConn Software Catalog](https://software.uconn.edu/microsoft-products-students/).

## Update

Previously, UConn's license with Microsoft included deeply discounted rates on Windows for the personal computers of faculty and staff. Microsoft is no longer offering this option. For personal devices, faculty and staff need to purchase the operating system from an external vendor. Windows will continue to be installed on University-owned computers.
