UConn staff can learn to use Carousel Cloud for digital signage. The article below describes the process of navigating the website.

## Uploading New Media

1. To log in, go to [Carousel](https://uconn.carouselsignage.net/Carousel/login) and click UConn CAS SSO.
2. Select **Carousel** to enter the Main Menu.
3. Ensure you are working in the appropriate Zone.
4. Under **New Bulletin**, there are 3 options to choose from:
  1. *Templates*: create your content using a pre-designed template.
  2. *Uploaded*: upload your designs to the selected zone (this is the one that you will use the most if you prefer to use tools outside of Carousel to create your content).
    1. Valid Extensions: jpg, jpeg, gif, png, tiff, tif, mov, wmv, mp4, mpeg, avi, zip
:check_mark: Note: For best results, videos should be compressed as MP4 files with a bit rate of 1 to 3 Mbps.
  3. *Dynamic Bulletins*: these bulletins use external data sources and automatically generate up-to-date bulletins.
5. Follow the prompts given to finish adding content.

## Media Management

Images, videos, and audio clips for your bulletins in Carousel are stored in your **Media Library**. Media is managed at the Zone level.

1. Check the orange bar at the top of the screen to make sure you are in the correct zone.
2. To view your media, select **Media** in the **Main Menu**. To find items faster, search your media by name or by tag.
3. To filter through images, videos, audio, and backgrounds, use the options listed at the top.
4. To add files, you can either drag and drop files into your Media Library or upload files by browsing through your computer.

Each piece of media has 4 possible actions: View, Edit, Copy, and Delete. You can select multiple files to perform bulk actions.

**Copy:** Media can be duplicated within the zone or copied into another zone, or you can move it completely from one zone to another.
