It is possible to join an Event using the same mobile app that is used for Webex Meetings. The [Cisco Webex Meetings](https://uconn.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IKB/pages/10789815919) app allows users to join from their smartphones.

- The Event cannot be started through the app. The Host needs to initiate the Event on a computer.
- If a participant is on both the Panelist and Attendee lists, they will be unable to join as an Attendee in the mobile app. They will default to the Panelist role.

## Joining the Event

1. Click on the Join link you received in your email or by other means.
2. The Cisco Webex Meetings app will open. Press the **Join** button.
3. You will be brought to the video preview screen.
4. Click **Join** to join the Event.
5. If you need more options while in the Event, press the **ellipses button** at the bottom of the screen.
6. To view the Participant list, press the icon that looks like a person in the top-right corner.
