Faculty, staff, and students that are the owner of a Google Hangouts Meet can mute attendees of the Meet at any point.

1. At the top right of the Meet, click on the left icon showing two people.
2. Click on the user that you would like to mute.
3. Click on the middle **Mute** button to mute the user.

> ⚠️ Once a user has been muted, the owner of the group is unable to unmute them. The user must unmute themselves.
