This article is intended for University IT professionals troubleshooting copiers set up for EFS scanning.

> ℹ️ This solution has been shown to resolve most "write test" errors which cause the destination test to fail, is is not apparent why some machines require SMBv3 to be disabled.

## Disable SMBv1 and SMBv3 from Filing Settings

1. Log in with admin credentials to the remote management webpage.
2. Select **Properties** from the tabs.
3. From the left-hand sidebar, expand **Connectivity** and select **Setup.**
4. Click edit for **SMB Filing.**
5. **Uncheck SMBv3** (selected by default on most machines).
