<span style="color: #333333">[UConn AnyWare](https://software.uconn.edu/uconn-software-online/)</span><span style="color: #333333"> </span>is an application virtualization service that gives faculty, staff, and students remote access to University-licensed software. With UConn AnyWare, you connect to a virtual desktop that includes all the available software. 

## Launching UConn AnyWare through your browser

1. Go to [anyware.uconn.edu](https://anyware.uconn.edu).
2. Choose **Launch AnyWare**.
3. Log in using your NetID and NetID password.
4. After signing in, you will be prompted to detect Citrix Receiver. Click **Detect Receiver** if you have Citrix installed.
5. [If you do not have it installed and wish to use AnyWare without installing it](https://uconn.atlassian.net/wiki/x/_QUMhQI), select **Use web browser**. Installing the Citrix Receiver allows access to local computer storage and peripherals during your session.  
:warning: Note: Users without administrative rights on their computers are unable to install Citrix Receiver. Choose **Use Light Version**.
6. Use your **NetID** and** NetID password** to log in.
7. You should get a **Duo 2FA prompt **asking for authentication. If this is not successful, you won’t be able to log into AnyWare.
8. Select **AnyWare Desktop** to load your desktop session. If you have access to school-specific virtual desktops (e.g., Engineering), those desktops will also be displayed.
9. When you are ready to leave your session, use the menu drop-down to select **Log Off.**
