Students, faculty, and staff can find their IP address, which is necessary for certain programs or support requests.

<details>
<summary>Windows</summary>

## Using Terminal

1. Right-click on the Start button and click **Terminal**.
2. In the terminal window, type `ipconfig`** **and press **Enter **on your keyboard.
3. The IP address will be listed under **IPv4**.

## Using Network and Sharing Center

1. Right-click on your **Wireless/Ethernet icon** in the bottom right of your screen, and click **Network and Sharing Center **or **Open Network & Internet settings.**
2. On the left, select **Ethernet** for a wired connection, or **Wi-Fi** for a wireless connection.
3. Select the **displayed connection icon **(should say "Connected" beneath it).
4. The IP address will be listed next to **IPv4 Address. **

<summary>macOS</summary>

1. Click the **Apple** icon at the top left corner of the screen.
2. Select **System Settings…**.
3. Select the** Network **icon.
4. From the list on your right, select the active connection (likely either **Wi-Fi** or **USB/10/100/1000 LAN** if hard-wired).
5. Select **Details…**
6. The IP address will be listed in the new window that appears.

<summary>Ubuntu</summary>

1. Click on the icons that sit on the right-hand side of the top menu bar.
2. Click on either **Wired Connection** or **Wi-Fi** then click on **Settings**.
3. Click on the settings gear next to the on/off toggle for the network connection.
4. You will see the IP address listed for **IPv4**.
