This article is for faculty, students and staff, and provides instructions for changing your default audio and camera options, as well as for changing your preferences during a WebEx call. 

> ✅ The "Use system setting" option will tell Webex to use the microphone/speaker/camera that Windows/MacOS labels as its default. You may choose a device different than your OS default.

## Before you Join

The **Video Preview **window appears after you click on the link to join the room. After altering your microphone/camera choice you may click on **Start**/**Join Meeting**.

> ⚠️ If Webex initially only detects one camera, you are unable to change your choice of Webcam <u>before</u> hosting/joining the meeting.

## During a Call

1. <span style="color: #172b4d">Click on the caret in the </span><span style="color: #172b4d">**Mute**</span><span style="color: #172b4d">/</span><span style="color: #172b4d">**Unmute**</span><span style="color: #172b4d"> button to alter Microphone Settings. Click on the caret in the </span><span style="color: #172b4d">**Start**</span><span style="color: #172b4d">/</span><span style="color: #172b4d">**Stop Video**</span><span style="color: #172b4d"> button to alter Camera Settings. </span>

2. A pop-up menu will show the other audio input/output options.
