This section is for faculty, students, and staff seeking information regarding how to host a Webex meeting from a UConn room.

## UConn Webex Room System Types

<details>
<summary>UConn Touch Panel</summary>

1. Turn on the system using the Touch Panel.
  1. If the screen is black, touch the screen once to wake it. A white UConn screen should appear.
  2. Touch the screen once more to turn the system on.
2. Click on the Video Conference option.
  If you have reached out to [techsupport@uconn.edu](mailto:techsupport@uconn.edu) to schedule a non-Webex call, the call will begin at its scheduled time after you enter **Video Conference** mode.
4. If you are here to host a Webex meeting, click on **Dial Webex **(picture below).
5. If you wish to share your screen, press the **Instructor Quick Setup** or **Share Presentation **buttons to choose the source you wish to broadcast with your video call.
  1. To stop sharing your screen, click on **Stop Presentation** or **Proctor Setup. **
  2. From this page, you can mute the microphones on your side of the call and adjust your microphone volume and speaker volume.
6. When done, press the **Hang Up** button to end the call.
7. Select **Non-Conference Mode** in the bottom-right corner to exit video conferencing mode after you hang up the call.
  Push the red **System OFF** button in the lower-left corner of the touch panel, if you are now finished with the room. ITS requests that you always perform this step when you are done with any UConn room.

The Cisco remote includes volume controls, a navigation and camera pad, a back button, a mute button, a button to make or accept calls, a button to disconnect or reject calls, and a dial pad.

The screenshot below is the Cisco Touch Panel's home screen:

1. Press the green **Call** button to place a call.
2. Choose your desired contact or use the text field to search/dial an address.
3. When you click on a contact, some more information will appear. Take note of the PIN number if you are initiating the session.
4. Click on the green **Call** button to begin the Webex Room.
5. You will hear a voice ask you to enter the PIN Number, click on the **Keypad** button to open up the Keypad.
6. Type in 1881 and then press the pound sign (#) to signify you are done typing the Pin.
7. If you would like to share your screen, click on the **Share** button.
