Windows users can set Adobe Acrobat Reader as the default handler for PDFs on their computers.

> ℹ️ If you choose to install Adobe Acrobat Reader, make sure to allow updates to ensure optimal performance and security.

1. Either click the **Start **button in the bottom left corner of your screen or press the **Windows **key on your keyboard to open the **Start **menu.
2. Navigate to **Settings. **
3. Click on the **Apps **section.
4. Select **Default Apps** in the bar on the right.
5. Select **Choose default apps by file type**.
6. Locate the file type: PDF.
7. Select the file type.
8. Select **Adobe Acrobat Reader** as your default viewer.
