Students, faculty and staff can set up Siri in macOS Sierra and later.

> ℹ️ Siri requires an internet connection to function.

For macOS Sierra and later: 

1. Go to **Spotlight Search. **
2. Type in *System Preferences***. **
3. In **System Preferences**, locate the section in the middle of the **Siri **window (identified by a blue sphere).
4. Click on the **Siri** icon to open up its **System Preferences** window.
5. Check the **Enable Ask Siri **box on the left side of the window to activate Siri.
6. Check the **Show Siri in menu bar** option to place Siri on the top menu bar on the screen. Once enabled, the Siri Icon will show up in two different locations. Clicking either of the following launches Siri:
  - **In the Dock**
  - **In the Menu Bar**
7. To use Siri,
  1. Press **Command + Space** at the same time.
  2. Give Siri a command.
  3. Press **Escape **to deactivate Siri while it is open.
