Faculty, staff and students can check for updates to their internet browser programs.

### Checking for Browser Updates in Chrome

1. Launch Chrome.
2. Look at > Macro (inline-external-image)

 at the top right corner of the screen.
3. If there is a pending update for the browser the icon is going to be colored.
  - **Green: **There has been an update available for 2 days.
  - **Orange:** There has been an update available for 4 days.
  - **Red: **There has been an update available for 7 days.

If you want to update Chrome:

1. Click on > Macro (inline-external-image)
2. Select **Update Google Chrome. **If the option is not available, it's because you are already on the latest version.
3. Select **Relaunch. **

### Checking for Browser Updates in FireFox

1. Launch Firefox.
2. Click the menu button > Macro (inline-external-image)
3. Click **Help** > Macro (inline-external-image)

and then select **About Firefox.**
4. A window will pop up and it will check for updates and begin downloading them **automatically. **
5. When updates are ready to be installed click **Restart Firefox to Update.**

### Checking for Browser Updates in Safari

1. Click on the Apple menu.
2. Select Software Update.
3. The **App Store **should open up. When it does select the **Updates **section on the top right of the page.
4. This window will show you the applications that have available updates. Because Safari is a system application, it will bundle it with the others such as iTunes, Security updates etc. This will be seen as one main **Software Update. ** Select **Update.**
5. Restart the computer.

### Checking for Browser Updates in Microsoft Internet Explorer or Edge

**Microsoft Internet Explorer**

1. Launch Internet Explorer
2. Click S**ettings **> Macro (inline-external-image)
3. Select **About Internet Explorer **
4. The latest version of Internet Explorer is IE11. If you have anything older than that, you can download the latest version from Microsoft.

#### **Edge Browser**

1. Click the **Windows Start Button **on your desktop
2. Select **Settings **
3. Choose **Updates and Security**
4. Click **Windows Update **
5. Select **Check for Updates. **Because Windows 10 includes Edge, if there are any updates found for it, Edge will automatically be updated to the latest version.
