This article provides instructions on how to import a calendar into Google Calendar after exporting it from another application and saving it as a .csv, .vcs, or .ical file.

> 📝 The University is phasing out Google accounts for all affiliates in 2024. The information in this article may be out of date as the transition progresses. For more information about this process, see [this article](https://its.uconn.edu/google-to-microsoft-365-transition).

> ⚠️ If you want all the events on an entirely new calendar, you will need to create the calendar separately prior to importing.

1. Open **Google Calendar**.
2. Click the **plus** icon next to the "Other Calendars"* *heading.
3. Select **Import Calendar**.
4. Click **Browse** to choose the file you would like to import (.ical or .csv).
5. Click **Open. **
6. Select the G-Suite Calendar where you would like to import these events.
7. Click **Import**.

> ⚠️ If Google Calendar does not recognize recurring scheduled events when they are imported from .csv files, you will need to readjust these entries individually.
