This article is for students, faculty, and staff who wish to create a shared calendar in Google Calendar that other group members can be invited to subscribe to.

1. Log in to Gmail.
2. Click the **apps** symbol.
3. Select **Calendar**.
4. In the left pane, click the drop-down menu next to “My Calendars.”
5. Click **New calendar**.
6. In the "Create new calendar" options, you can name the calendar, give it a description, and give it a location.
7. To share this calendar with specific people, hover over the desired calendar and click the **three horizontal dots** to open the menu.
8. Click **Settings and** **Sharing**.
9. Select **Share with specific people **from the drop-down list.
10. Click **Add people.**
11. Enter those you want to share the calendar with. Change permissions if desired.
12. Click **Send** to share it with them.

This shared calendar request will be sent out via Gmail to all members and can be added to everyone’s personal calendar.
