Students can set up POP-IMAP settings for their Gmail accounts.

1. Log into your UConn Gmail account.
2. Click on the** gear icon.**
3. Click on **Settings.**
4. Click on the **Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.**
5. Click the bullet for **Enable IMAP.**
6. Scroll to bottom of page and click **Save Changes.**

## Incoming Server Settings for Mail Clients

**Incoming Server Type**: *IMAP*

**Server Hostname** (address): *imap.gmail.com*

**Port/Encryption**: *993 (SSl/TLS) *– normal password

**Username**: *firstname.lastname@uconn.edu*

**Password**: password set up during opt-in process

## Outgoing Server Settings for Mail Clients

**Incoming Server Type**: *SMTP*

**Server Hostname** (address): *smtp.gmail.com*

**Port/Encryption**: *587 (SSl/TLS)* – normal password

**Username**: *firstname.lastname@uconn.edu*

**Password**: password set up during opt-in process
