Students, faculty, and staff can add and delete subscribers through, both, the Listserv site and by emailing Listserv. All methods of adding and deleting subscribers are listed below to accommodate personal preference. 

## Adding Subscribers

## Using the Listserv Website

1. Go to [http://listserv.uconn.edu](http://listserv.uconn.edu)  and select **Log In** at the upper right.
2. Enter your login information.
3. Click on the **List Management** menu.
4. Click **Subscriber Reports**.
5. Choose a list to perform the operations on from the drop-down.  You can put your email address in the Owner field to show only lists you have access to.

6. To add an individual, enter the email and name of the desired subscriber in the **Add Subscriber** box.
  1. To add multiple subscribers at once, use the **Bulk Operation** link to upload a .txt file with the email addresses (one email address per line) to add. Choose a file next to **Import file:** and click **Import** to apply.

7. Choose whether or not to notify the user about their new subscription to the list using the checkbox beneath the **Add Subscriber** box.
8. Click on the **Add Subscriber** button.

## Emailing Listserv

1. Using the same email address as the one you use to sign into Listserv, create a new email addressed to ***[listserv@listserv.uconn.edu](mailto:listserv@listserv.uconn.edu)***.
2. Leave the subject *blank*.
3. Enter the following command in the body of the email, filling it in with the respective information:   
*ADD listserv_name **[email_address@example.com](mailto:email_address@example.com)** Firstname Lastname*
4. Wait for Listserv to send a confirmation email to your email account.
5. Reply to the confirmation email with *OK,* or click the confirmation link sent by Listserv.

## Adding Subscribers in Bulk

1. Click on the **List Management** menu.
2. Click on **Subscriber Reports**.
3. Choose a list.  You can put your email address in the Owner field to show only lists you have access to.
4. Click on the **Bulk Operations** link.
5. Select the **Add **option.
6. Attach a file containing the email addresses you wish to remove.  
:warning: Note: The file <u>must</u> be in a .txt (text file) format.
  1. Click **Browse**.  Locate the prepared file on your machine.
7. Click **Import**.

## Removing Subscribers

## Using the Listserv Website

1. Go to [listserv.uconn.edu](http://listserv.uconn.edu/) and select **Log In** in the upper right.
2. Enter your login information.
3. Click on the **List Management **in the left-hand menu and select **Subscriber Management. **
4. Choose a list to perform the operations on from the drop-down menu.
5. Enter the email of the desired subscriber in the **Search for Subscribers** box.
6. Click on the **Search** button.
7. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click **Delete.**

## Emailing Listserv

1. Using the same email address that you use to sign into Listserv, create a new email addressed to *[listserv@listserv.uconn.edu](mailto:listserv@listserv.uconn.edu)*.
2. Leave the subject *blank*.
3. Enter this command in the body of the email: ***DEL listname net@address***.
  - Example: *DEL testlist-L **[j](mailto:joe.jones@UConn.edu)**[onathan.husky@uconn.edu](mailto:onathan.husky@uconn.edu)*
4. Wait for Listserv to send a confirmation email.
5. Reply to the confirmation email with *OK*, or click the confirmation link sent by Listserv.

## Removing Subscribers in Bulk

1. Click on the **List Management** menu.
2. Click on **Subscriber Reports**.
3. Choose a list from the drop-down menu.
4. Click on the  **Bulk Operations** link.

5. Select the appropriate **Remove **option.
6. Attach a file containing the email addresses you wish to remove.

  1. Click **Browse**.
7. Click **Import**.
