Once both the University and Supplier agree to terms, the Contract Specialist can begin setting up the document for signatures. Contracts+ integrates with DocuSign to manage contract execution within the tool.

> ℹ️ The University signatory must be eligible based on the University’s delegation of contract authority policy to sign the agreement on behalf of the University. Please review [https://uconncontracts.uconn.edu/uconn-delegation-of-contract-approval-and-signature-authority/](https://uconncontracts.uconn.edu/uconn-delegation-of-contract-approval-and-signature-authority/)for more details.

See instructions on setting up the e-signature tab [here](https://uconn.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FPB/pages/27790475363/Configuring+Contract+Records#eSignature).

> ℹ️ **If the Contract Specialist submits the Contract Record into workflow without first setting up signatories, the Contract Record must be returned to draft and checked out in order to edit this section and add them. Once the signatories are added, it can be re-submitted to workflow.**

2. After the eSignature section is set up, the Contract Specialist can submit to workflow through “Submit for Approval” tab and click the blue “Submit for Approval” button:

3. Following any subsequent approvals, the workflow will route to the e-signature setup stage. This will happen after the contract record is submitted into the approvals workflow and approved by any pending approvers.

4. Each party signs the agreement. The system is automatically notified once all parties have signed.

> ⚠️ **It may take up to 2 hours for the system to update the status to the next step (i.e. pending signature, out for signature), but it will do so automatically.**

5. The contract may face additional workflow stops after signature such as “OGC Approval” or “AG Approval”. Once the Contract Specialist receives these back from the respective party, they can click “Approve” in the approvals tab to move these forward.
