Staff can import Accounting Lines directly into any eDoc with Accounting Lines. Keep the following guidelines in mind as you import Accounting Lines: 

- The spreadsheet must be saved as a CSV file.
- If an import is done on both the TO and FROM sides, then each must have its own import file.
- You may want to save frequently used templates on your desktop for easy access.

To import Accounting Lines, 

1. <span style="color: #000000">Click on the </span><span style="color: #000000">**question mark icon**</span><span style="color: #000000"> next to "Distribution of Income and Expense." </span>

2. <span style="color: #000000">Under the "Overview" sub-menu, click </span><span style="color: #000000">**Data Import Templates**</span><span style="color: #000000">, and choose the appropriate template for the eDoc.</span>
3. <span style="color: #000000">An Excel spreadsheet will open. Enter the Accounting Lines. The columns with red lines are required. </span>
4. The **Amount** column should not contain any commas. If commas are present, change the format to **General** in that column to remove them.
5. Delete the first three lines of text.
6. Save the spreadsheet as a CSV file.
  1. Click **Save as Type**.
  2. Select **CSV Comma Delimited**.

7. <span style="color: #000000">Click </span><span style="color: #000000">**Yes **</span><span style="color: #000000">for each of the prompts that appear on your screen. </span>

8. <span style="color: #000000">From the </span><span style="color: #000000">**Accounting Lines**</span><span style="color: #000000"> section of the eDoc, click </span><span style="color: #000000">**Import Lines**</span><span style="color: #000000">. </span>
9. <span style="color: #000000">Click the </span><span style="color: #000000">**Choose File**</span><span style="color: #000000"> button. </span>
10. Locate your CSV import file.
11. Click **Open**.
12. Click **ADD **next to the file name.

<span style="color: #000000">Your Accounting Lines should now be imported into your eDoc. </span>
