InfoAssist is the tool within WebFOCUS used to create and edit a report.

1. ** **Select the desired content folder from the left navigation pane folder structure, and then right-click.
2. ** **Select **New **and then** Report**.
3. From the dialog box that displays, choose your **data source** from the left navigation pane, and then select the table\file from the list to the right.
4. Confirm the **File name:** displays the name of the table/file selected, and then click **Open. **
  1. If you are working with student information and you need term-based data, start with REC_STDNT_TERM_DIM.
  2. If you need data about students in your program and plan, start with REC_ACAD_STRUCTURE.
  3. If you are working with financial data and you need posted transactions, start with GL_CURRENT.

5. Begin building your report in the InfoAssist interface that displays.
